NFL Prediction Markets 2026: Week 1 Odds and the Easiest Wins

Live Week 1 NFL prices from Polymarket and Kalshi, where the softest lines are on the opening slate, and which prediction market to use for each type of football trade.

What are the best prediction markets for NFL in 2026?

Kalshi has the deepest US-regulated single-game NFL contracts, and Polymarket has by far the deepest futures book — about $45.1M traded on the 2027 champion market. Rebet suits parlay-style play and OG by Crypto.com suits crypto-funded traders. Most active traders use Kalshi and Polymarket together and shop the price on every bet.

TL;DR
NFL prediction markets are already trading Week 1. Polymarket's 2027 champion book has taken about $45.1M, and Kalshi's per-game contracts are the deepest US-regulated football markets. The opening slate is headlined by New England at Seattle and San Francisco at the LA Rams. Because these are exchanges, prices are quoted in cents of implied probability with no house margin, so your breakeven win rate sits near 50% and your only cost is the spread. The easiest wins in August come from stale preseason pricing, injury-news lag, and division futures that never repriced after the schedule dropped.

Live NFL markets right now

Prices pulled live from Polymarket and Kalshi and refreshed every two minutes. A price in cents is the market's implied probability — 63¢ means the crowd sees a 63% chance.

Where NFL money is actually trading right now

Two venues carry almost all of the serious NFL volume heading into the 2026 season. Polymarket runs the futures book — its 2027 champion market has cleared about $45.1M in total volume, with the LA Rams around 14–15¢, and Buffalo and Seattle both near 8–9¢. Kalshi owns the game-by-game book: single-game winner contracts on the Week 1 slate are already six figures deep before a snap is played.

The rest of the field splits by use case. Rebet is the social layer — parlay-style entries and a 100% purchase match up to $100 with code WINPREDICTS — while OG by Crypto.com suits crypto-funded traders who want event contracts alongside a familiar exchange wallet.

The important structural point: these are exchanges. You are buying a contract that settles at $1 or $0, and the price you pay is the market's probability. That means you can also sell before kickoff, which is where most of the profit in the first month of the season actually comes from. If you're new to the mechanics, start with how to read prediction market odds.

A 63¢ YES contract is a 63% implied probability. Buy it, and if the market moves to 72¢ before kickoff you can sell for a 9¢ profit without ever needing the game to finish.

The Week 1 slate and how markets are pricing it

The 2026 regular season opens the weekend of September 10–14. The two games drawing the most early money are New England at Seattle — Seattle around 63¢, New England around 37¢ — and San Francisco at the LA Rams, with the Rams near 64¢ against the 49ers at 36¢. Both lines have moved on roster news since the schedule dropped, and both are still liquid enough to trade in size.

Elsewhere on the opening slate: Dallas hosts the Giants with Dallas near 59¢, Denver at Kansas City sits close to a coin flip with Denver around 44¢, and Green Bay at Minnesota is the tightest game on the board at roughly 48¢ / 52¢. Arizona at the LA Chargers is the biggest mismatch the market sees, with Arizona at about 19¢.

Prices in the widget above are live. The numbers in this paragraph were a snapshot taken on August 21, 2026 — always trade the live price, not the article.

  • New England @ Seattle — the opener, deepest single-game book on Kalshi
  • San Francisco @ LA Rams — Rams are the market's championship favourite at ~14¢
  • Denver @ Kansas City — near coin flip, the best value on the slate at exchange pricing
  • Green Bay @ Minnesota — 48/52 pick'em, division game, high in-game volatility
  • Dallas @ NY Giants — Dallas ~59¢, historically the most publicly overbought team in Week 1

"Easy wins": where the soft spots actually are

There is no such thing as a free bet, and anyone selling you one is selling you something else. But there are five repeatable structural edges in NFL prediction markets, and August–September is when they are widest because the books are thin and the news flow is heavy.

1. Exchange pricing is a real edge, and it compounds. There is no house margin baked into a contract price — your only cost is the bid-ask spread, so a contract at fair value breaks even near 50%. Over 100 flat trades, keeping that cost close to zero is the difference between a small loss and a small profit on identical handicapping.

2. Preseason prices go stale. Week 1 contracts were listed in the spring and many barely moved through camp. When a starting quarterback or left tackle changes status, the deepest contracts reprice in minutes; a thin exchange contract can take hours. That lag is the single most reliable source of profit in September.

3. Public teams carry a premium. Dallas, Kansas City, and Philadelphia contracts consistently trade a few cents above their model-implied probability because retail money buys names. Selling that premium — buying the other side — is boring and works.

4. Season win totals overshoot in both directions. Post-draft hype teams get bought up in the spring and rarely reprice down until Week 3 losses arrive. Fading a hype team's over is a slow trade, but the entry is best right now.

5. Sell into the run, don't wait for settlement. Most beginners hold every contract to resolution. If you bought Seattle at 55¢ and news pushes it to 68¢, taking the 13¢ is often better risk-adjusted than sweating a full game.

Risk note: these are edges, not guarantees. Every one of them loses money over short samples. Size each trade so 10 losses in a row does not end your season.

Which prediction market for which NFL trade

Polymarket — best for futures and season-long positions. The 2027 champion, conference, division, and MVP books are far deeper than anywhere else, with about $45.1M traded on the title market alone. No house margin, debit-card/ACH funding in the US app in 49 states + DC (Nevada excluded). New accounts get a $50 trading bonus on a $10 deposit with code WINPREDICTS. Full breakdown in our Polymarket review and Polymarket NFL guide.

Kalshi — best for individual games. CFTC-regulated, funded in US dollars by ACH, and available on desktop and Android as well as iOS. Its per-game contracts are the deepest regulated single-game football markets in the country, which matters when you want to exit a position mid-week. Kalshi is offering $25 back when you trade $25 with code WINPREDITCS. See the Kalshi review and Kalshi NFL guide, or compare the two head to head in Polymarket vs Kalshi.

Rebet — best for casual and parlay-style play. If you want the social, multi-leg experience rather than a clean exchange, Rebet matches 100% of your first purchase up to $100 with code WINPREDICTS. Details in our Rebet review.

OG by Crypto.com — best for crypto-funded traders. Event contracts inside a familiar crypto exchange wallet, with up to $100 available to new users using code WINPREDICTS. See the OG review.

Most serious traders run at least two accounts and shop the price on every trade — the spread between Polymarket and Kalshi on the same game is regularly 2–4¢. Our full ranking lives on best prediction market platforms.

How to place your first NFL trade

The whole process takes about ten minutes, most of which is funding.

Step 1 — Open accounts on two venues. Kalshi for games, Polymarket for futures. Two accounts is what makes line shopping possible.

Step 2 — Fund with the minimum that clears fees. ACH on Kalshi, USDC on Polymarket. Trades under about $5 get eaten by spread and network costs.

Step 3 — Find the market. Search the team name or matchup. Check the volume figure before you trade; a market with no volume has no reliable price.

Step 4 — Compare the two prices. If Kalshi has Seattle at 63¢ and Polymarket has the same outcome at 66¢, buy the cheaper side. That 3¢ is pure edge.

Step 5 — Size flat and place the order. Use a limit order at or just below the ask. One to two percent of bankroll per game.

Step 6 — Set an exit. Decide before kickoff at what price you'll sell early. Most Week 1 profits are taken on Friday, not Sunday night.

Bankroll rules for the first month

September is the most dangerous month of the NFL season for a bankroll because every result feels like signal and almost none of it is. Four rules keep you in the game long enough for the structural edges above to matter.

  • Flat stake 1–2% of bankroll per game. No 'lock of the week' sizing, ever.
  • Cap total exposure to any one team — game plus futures — at 10% of bankroll.
  • Never chase a Sunday loss with a Monday-night contract at a worse price.
  • Track every trade with entry price, exit price, and reason. Without the log you cannot tell edge from luck. Our free <a href="/calculator">P&L calculator</a> handles the maths.
If you can't state why the market's price is wrong in one sentence, you don't have a trade — you have a preference.

Frequently asked questions

What are the best prediction markets for NFL in 2026?

Kalshi has the deepest US-regulated single-game NFL contracts, and Polymarket has by far the deepest futures book — about $45.1M traded on the 2027 champion market. Rebet suits parlay-style play and OG by Crypto.com suits crypto-funded traders. Most active traders use Kalshi and Polymarket together and shop the price on every bet.

When does the 2026 NFL season start?

The 2026 regular season opens on the weekend of September 10-14, 2026. New England at Seattle and San Francisco at the LA Rams are the two Week 1 games carrying the most prediction market volume.

Can you bet on NFL games on Polymarket and Kalshi legally in the US?

Yes. Both operate as CFTC-regulated venues, so their NFL event contracts are legal for US residents — Kalshi in 47 states + DC and Polymarket in 49 states + DC. They are federally regulated exchanges rather than state-licensed operators.

What does it cost to trade NFL contracts?

Less than most traders expect. Exchange contracts carry no house margin, so your cost is the bid-ask spread plus the venue's trading fee — around 0.5–1% on liquid Polymarket contracts and a small per-contract fee on Kalshi. That puts breakeven close to 50% on a fair-value contract.

What is the easiest NFL prediction market bet for a beginner?

A single-game winner contract on a game you already follow, staked at 1-2% of your bankroll. Avoid player props and multi-leg entries until you have 50 logged trades — the spreads are wider and the pricing is less efficient in the house's favour.

Can you sell an NFL contract before the game finishes?

Yes, and it's one of the biggest advantages of an exchange. If you buy a team at 55c and news moves the price to 68c, you can sell and bank 13c per contract without the game ever being played.

How much does it cost to trade NFL markets?

There's no house margin. Your real costs are the bid-ask spread, Kalshi's small per-contract trading fee, and network or transfer fees on deposits and withdrawals — typically well under 1% round trip on liquid markets.

What bonus codes are available for NFL trading in 2026?

Code WINPREDICTS is valid at Polymarket, Rebet and OG, with WINPREDITCS at Kalshi: a $50 Polymarket trading bonus on a $10 deposit, $25 from Kalshi when you trade $25 with code WINPREDITCS, a 100% purchase match up to $100 at Rebet, and up to $100 at OG by Crypto.com. Offers are subject to each platform's terms.
