What PredictionWins collects when you visit, how analytics and affiliate links work, and how to contact us about your data.

Who we are
PredictionWins (predictionwins.com) is an independent editorial site about prediction markets, run by Catie Di Stefano. For any privacy question, write to editorial@predictionwins.com.
What we collect when you visit
Our web server keeps standard access logs: IP address, time, the page requested and the browser used. We use them for security and to keep the site running, and they are deleted after 14 days. We do not ask you to create an account.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets first-party cookies and receives your IP address in shortened form, your device type and the pages you view. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are not measured with cookies. Visitors elsewhere are measured by default. We do not use advertising features. We keep analytics data for 14 months.
To opt out, use Google's opt-out browser add-on or block cookies in your browser settings.
Affiliate links
When you click a button to a trading platform, the click goes through our own redirect and a tracking service used by our affiliate partner network, so that the platform knows the visit came from us. We may earn a commission if you sign up. We record that a click happened, the page it came from and a scrambled form of the IP address that cannot be turned back into the address. We do not receive your account details, deposits or trades from the platforms; we only see totals such as clicks and sign-ups.
Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we store your email address, the date, the page you signed up on and your confirmation that you are of age, on our own server. We use it only to send the newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to us and we will delete your address.
Who processes data for us
Our hosting provider, Fasthosts, runs the server the site is on, and Google provides the analytics. When you click through to a trading platform, that platform and the affiliate tracking service handle the click under their own privacy policies. We use no other processors and we do not sell personal information.
Cookies and browser storage
- Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by an ID), set by Google Analytics.
- One browser-storage entry if you close the offer bar on a phone, so it stays closed for 7 days. It is not sent to us.
- No advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or object to analytics. California residents: we do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Visitors in the EEA and the UK have the rights of access, correction and deletion, and the right to complain to their data protection authority.
Age
This site is for adults. The platforms we cover set their own minimum age: 18 on most and 21 on Novig. We recommend 21+.

We update this page when the way we handle data changes, and we show the date at the top.
