Is ProphetX legit?

In June 2026 the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission approved ProphetX as a Designated Contract Market and as a Derivatives Clearing Organization — the same categories of federal licence held by the major futures venues. That dual approval is unusual: it means ProphetX both lists its contracts and clears them itself, rather than renting access to someone else's exchange.

How trading works
Every ProphetX market is a YES/NO contract on a sporting outcome, priced between $0.01 and $0.99. The price is the implied probability: a $0.60 YES contract implies a 60% chance and pays $1.00 if it settles true. Because you trade against other users rather than an operator, your fill depends on what the other side is willing to take — and you can close early at the current market price instead of waiting for settlement.
