Where NBA money is actually trading right now
Two venues carry nearly all serious NBA volume heading into 2026-27. Polymarket runs the futures book: its NBA champion market has cleared about $17.9M in volume and the 2026-27 Rookie of the Year market about $7.9M, with additional books on conference winners, MVP and “next team” player movement. Kalshi is the CFTC-regulated venue — champion, conference and MVP contracts trade now, and per-game winner contracts (the KXNBAGAME series) list as the schedule approaches, the same way its NFL game book does.
The rest of the field splits by use case. Rebet is the social layer — parlay-style entries and a 100% purchase match up to $100 with code WINPREDICTS — while OG by Crypto.com suits crypto-funded traders who want event contracts next to an exchange wallet they already use.
The structural point matters more than the platform: these are exchanges. You buy a contract that settles at $1 or $0, and the price you pay is the market's probability. You can also sell before tip-off, which is where most of the profit in the first month of a season actually comes from. New to the mechanics? Start with how to read prediction market odds.
A 22¢ championship contract is a 22% implied probability. Buy it in August, and if a healthy 12-0 start pushes it to 34¢, you can sell for a 12¢ profit in November without waiting nine months for a June resolution.
